IRC Building Sciences Group is a cohesive unit of employees, utilizing a team approach to provide creative and cost effective solutions to clients. Problem: Their 5th floor roof terrace had been leaking for several years. Although attempts were made to try and repair the leak, they were unsuccessful because of the solid pour concrete terrace above the waterproofing membrane.
Advice: Provincial Roofing recommended that O.I.S.E. University of Toronto consider a complete roof replacement.
Project: Provincial Roofing had one week to replace their 16,500 sq/ft roof in order to minimize the interruption to the university. We cut, chipped and removed over 700 tons of material and upgraded their roof system to Siplast a modified bitumen system to support the new roof patio deck, which comprised of roof slabs on pedestals.
Results: The new roof system was installed and the patio completed within the allotted schedule without any interruption to the client. They now have a new and improved roof system guaranteed of leak and repair.
